Recent Upgrades and Improvements
The Mackinaw Club is always trying make improvements and upgrades to the course and grounds. Just a few of the upgrades and improvements we've made include:
- We recently replaced the entire fleet of golf carts with cinnamon colored Precendent Club Car golf carts.
- We planted over a thousand trees throughout
the golf course and grounds.
- We replaced all of the golf cart bridges.
- We installed all new landscaping around the club
house with shrubs and flowers.
- We obtained a new greens mower.
- We repaired and restored the irrigation system to its original condition.
- We do our best to conserve
water resources by surgically watering only as needed on a daily, weekly and monthly
basis.
Turf Management
An ongoing effort towards
quality turf management has been instituted along with consistent mowing of the
course. This gives our guests a golfing experience similar to other golf courses that charge
double our regular rates. We are working towards being a "greener" golf course through
the introduction of organic fertilizers and by reducing mowing in "out of play"
areas, allowing those areas to return to their wild condition.
